If you have been referred for radiation therapy by a doctor or specialist, the first step is to schedule an appointment with us. You can do so by contacting us here.
Your first appointment consists of collecting patient information, an initial consultation with your radiation team, and possible virtual simulation.
To ensure we have a full picture of your treatment journey so far, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment and print out and complete the following if you are able to:

If you have been referred for radiation therapy by a doctor or specialist, the first step is to schedule an appointment with us. You can do so by contacting us here.
Your first appointment consists of collecting patient information, an initial consultation with your radiation team, and possible virtual simulation.
To ensure we have a full picture of your treatment journey so far, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment and print out and complete the following if you are able to:
- Names of other doctors and phone numbers
- Insurance cards
- Medical history
- List of medications you are currently taking
- Driver’s license, military ID, or passport for photo identification
We provide assistance with insurance including pre-authorization, pre-certification for services, and assistance determining benefits. Please call if you have any questions about how to fill out the above paperwork.

The Greene Cancer Center is located off of Route 123 (Centre Street), less than 10 minutes east of downtown Brockton. Our cancer treatment center in Brockton has expansive parking and a newly constructed building that features both modern technology and artistic touches. The rooms inside are designed to make your treatment as comfortable as possible and are both spacious and inviting.
Initial consultation
Throughout your journey at Signature Healthcare you will have a team working with you, coordinating your care and working together to develop a treatment plan that fits your needs. Your first consultation will consist of a lot of questions as your healthcare team familiarizes themselves with your specific case, but it is also a time for you to meet your team and ask them questions as well. It may be a good idea to put together questions ahead of time to ask at this point.
Some questions to consider:
- What type of cancer do I have? What stage is it at?
- What kind of therapy is recommended for my treatment? How long will it take?
- What side effects might I experience?
- Is there anything I can do to best support my treatment or manage side effects?
- Who do I talk to if I have questions or concerns?
Your initial consultation will also often involve a physical exam.
Treatment approach
After your consultation, we will schedule you for a simulation which starts with a CT scan. This includes the following:
- We will determine the correct body position to optimize treatment to the affected area while minimizing the amount of healthy tissue in the field.
- Conduct imaging scans to pinpoint the treatment area
- Make reference marks in or near the targeted tissue for treatment positioning
