Dr. Lane graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Honors and Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, NC. While there, he was selected for membership into Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his Medical Degree from the Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, NC, where he was twice honored with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Fellowship.

Dr. Lane completed an Internship in Internal Medicine in Chapel Hill, NC and his Residency at the Department of Radiation Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. Upon his Board Certification, he became an attending physician at Massachusetts General Hospital. He also was an Instructor of Radiation Oncology at Harvard Medical School and Assistant Professor of Radiation Oncology at the Boston University School of Medicine.

Dr. Lane is a highly regarded board-certified radiation oncologist. He specializes in prostate and breast cancers in addition to general radiation therapy. He has extensive experience with Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) and High Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy. He joined the Department of Radiation Oncology at Signature Healthcare in 2008.
